Brentwood

Brentwood sits in the heart of North Central Austin, roughly between Lamar and Burnet north of Justin Lane. It is a post-war neighborhood of single-story homes on generous, flat lots, and it has been one of the more active renovation and redevelopment markets in Central Austin for years. Buyers here are typically choosing between an original mid-century home, a thoughtfully updated one, and new construction on a teardown lot, sometimes on the same block.

Brentwood Park is the centre of the neighborhood, with a pool, playground, and open field that get genuine daily use. The Burnet Road corridor along the western edge has become one of the better casual food and drink strips in the city, and the Violet Crown Trail gives cyclists a route south toward downtown. The neighborhood is close enough to The Domain and the north tech employers to shorten that commute considerably while still sitting well inside Central Austin.
